WI WINS AT PANCAKE
SUPPER EVENT
Members from Countesthorpe Women’s Institute visited a Pancake Supper held by Peatling Magna WI at the Village Hall in Peatling Magna on Shrove Tuesday. It was also attended by other local WI Groups. There was a lovely Supper which included Pancakes to celebrate the day. Each WI had to volunteer three Members to participate in the fliping the Pancake competition. This was really funny because the crepe pancakes soon broke up and each round ended with the parties tossing a small bit of leftover crepe!! Eventually after three rounds and a final Countesthorpe was declared the winner. There was also a Decorated Egg Competition which was again won by Countesthorpe.
Our Member Diana Lee is pictured with her winning entry. So it was an enjoyable evening with Countesthorpe WI being the all round winning WI. The Group meets at 7.30pm on the second Monday of the Month at the Village Hall. Visitors are always welcome.
